Deburr Operator

Job Summary

Clean and blend manufactured parts by operating various hand power and pneumatic tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and be able to work accurately to meet production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret written work order instructions to determine appropriate tool requirements.
• Use grinders, routers, and hand grinding tools to remove sharp edges and excess material from machined and/or forged parts.
• Transport parts within the department and/or to the next operation using pallet jacks and material handling equipment.
• Verify correct quantities of parts are received, deburred, and forwarded to the next operation.
• Confer with supervisor when problems arise that impact expected performance levels.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English, including safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to drive forklifts, pallet jacks, and material handling equipment.
• Ability to add and subtract, and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to sit or stand for at least 8 hours a day.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
