Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Infection Preventionist to join our Quality Department on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to prevent healthcare-associated infections, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining employee health records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Develop and implement infection prevention programs, monitor progress, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Performance Improvements: Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance patient care and employee health.
  • Occupational Health: Maintain accurate records of employee health screenings and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Performance Standards: Establish and enforce policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety and quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Preferred graduate of RN school of nursing; current license as a RN in the State of Louisiana required.
  • Certification: Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) preferred or attainment within one year after employment.
  • Experience: Minimum two years' experience in acute care hospital settings, IP/ICU/ER experience preferred.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $ $76,410 - $106,110 based on national averages and industry standards.
