Principal System Administrator

We are seeking a skilled Principal System Administrator to support system administration and maintenance functions associated with monitoring and controlling virtualized computer environments. This role will be responsible for administering VMWare ESXi servers, maintaining Operating Systems (Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux), and performing application and security patching. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for account and permissions management using Microsoft Active Directory, backup and restore using Rubrik Backup Solutions, and cybersecurity processes related to continuous monitoring of IT systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) systems, HPE 3Par and Nimble storage solutions, and Kubernetes Administration – Rancher RKE2 Distribution.
Responsibilities
- Administration of VMWare ESXi servers
- Maintaining Operating Systems (Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux)
- Application and security patching
- Account and permissions management using Microsoft Active Directory
- Backup and restore using Rubrik Backup Solutions
- Cybersecurity processes related to continuous monitoring of IT systems
- Deploy, update, and maintain Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) systems
- Administration of HPE 3Par and Nimble storage solutions
- Kubernetes Administration – Rancher RKE2 Distribution
Requirements
- Active certification to comply with NIST-8570 (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
- Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance and access
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Active and transferable U.S. government DoD issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
