Group Sales Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Group Sales Manager to join our team at Horizon Hospitality in Downtown Chicago. This exciting opportunity is responsible for selling room blocks and event space within the SMERF market. The ideal candidate will be proactive, genuine, and outgoing, with a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all group and business travel sales for the property
  • Identify new markets of business opportunities
  • Participate in sales calls with the team to assist in closing new business
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales to ensure proposed rate negotiations
  • Update action plans and financial objectives weekly
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of hospitality sales experience, preferably within the SMERF market
  • Background in group, rooms, catering, or banquet sales experience
  • Prior experience developing and initiating strategies to increase group room revenue
  • Background with Delphi, SalesPro, CI/TY, or other hotel CRM applications

Horizon Hospitality offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $65,000 - $75,000, bonus/commission, comprehensive health benefits, 401k + match, a great PTO plan, employee discounts, and more.
