A Comprehensive Approach to Breast Cancer Care
In our esteemed Cancer Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Clinician to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge breast oncology care, working alongside a talented multidisciplinary team of professionals.
About the Role:
We invite applications from qualified Nurse Practitioners (NP) or Physician Assistants (PA) with a passion for providing personalized care to patients affected by breast cancer. As an Advanced Practice Clinician in our outpatient setting, you will have the opportunity to:
- See patients for general care, high-risk assessments, imaging, survivorship, and follow-up appointments.
- Partner with our MD team to manage benign patients through ongoing surveillance.
- Provide genetic counseling, either independently or in collaboration with physician.
- Handle same-day add-on appointments for urgent symptom management.
- Collaborate with our fellowship-trained surgical breast oncologist to develop and expand a cutting-edge breast care program.
- Practice at the full scope of your training in our outpatient care setting, with potential for surgical assisting.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care teams in a patient-centered, provider-led environment.
- Work in a state-of-the-art cancer center equipped with the latest technology.
- Leverage resources from our Mayo Clinic Care Network membership to support patient care.
- Engage in clinical research and innovative care programs, including the Breast Cancer Navigation Program for Native American Women.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A Master's Degree from an accredited training program.
- Post-graduate experience in a comprehensive breast care program is preferred but not required. Newly certified providers may apply.
- Preferring candidates with experience in an NAPBC-accredited program or those working toward NAPBC accreditation.
- An Advanced Practitioner License in New Mexico (or ability to obtain) + CSR & DEA Certification as an NP (ANCC or AANP) is required; AOCNP certification is preferred.
- Certification as a PA through NCCPA is required.
