Job Description

The Patient Experience Representative will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to provide empathy in difficult situations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Customer Service:
    • Providing positive and effective customer service to support departmental and hospital operations.
    • Greeting and directing patients, families, and visitors.
    • Registering new patients upon arrival.
  • Patient Registration/Discharge:
    • Maintaining accurate patient records and processing registration information.
    • Collecting necessary clinical documentation and information.
    • Obtaining required authorizations, referrals, and verifications of insurance.
  • Scheduling:
    • Coordinating patient encounters and procedures with providers, departments, and institutions.
    • Monitoring daily schedules and optimizing resource utilization.
  • Administration:
    • Providing administrative support, including maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings.
    • Transcribing and typing correspondence and reports.
    • Recording and forwarding messages.
  • Technology:
    • Utilizing office technology, including phone systems, email, and clinical applications.
    • Enrolling patients in the patient portal.

$48,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The schedule will be weekdays 4pm to 9pm, Saturdays 8:30am to 3:30pm, and Sundays 8:30am to 2:30pm as needed.
