Patient Experience Representative

The Patient Experience Representative will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to patients, families, and visitors. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to provide empathy in difficult situations.
Duties and Responsibilities- Customer Service:
- Providing positive and effective customer service to support departmental and hospital operations.
- Greeting and directing patients, families, and visitors.
- Registering new patients upon arrival.
- Patient Registration/Discharge:
- Maintaining accurate patient records and processing registration information.
- Collecting necessary clinical documentation and information.
- Obtaining required authorizations, referrals, and verifications of insurance.
- Scheduling:
- Coordinating patient encounters and procedures with providers, departments, and institutions.
- Monitoring daily schedules and optimizing resource utilization.
- Administration:
- Providing administrative support, including maintaining calendars and scheduling meetings.
- Transcribing and typing correspondence and reports.
- Recording and forwarding messages.
- Technology:
- Utilizing office technology, including phone systems, email, and clinical applications.
- Enrolling patients in the patient portal.
$48,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The schedule will be weekdays 4pm to 9pm, Saturdays 8:30am to 3:30pm, and Sundays 8:30am to 2:30pm as needed.
