Medical Assistant II

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant II to join our team at AdventHealth Rocky Mountain. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the optimal health, wellbeing, and safety of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assume a supportive role and have responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the patient.
- Promote the optimal health, wellbeing and safety of the patient in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the delegation of medical services as defined by State Medical Practice Act.
- May perform a variety of clinical tasks as directed by an authorized health care provider in accordance with the Advent Health Physician Group Scope of Practice.
- May assist with front office duties and scheduling of tests and/or patient appointments. Responsible for accurate chart documentation and medical record maintenance.
- Attends in-service presentations and seminars to facilitate personal and professional growth.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of all Medical Assistant Core Skills, as well as Additional competencies which are specialty specific, as defined within the Scope of Practice for CHPG Medical Assistants.
- Successful completion of assigned/required courses in online learning platform.
- Maintain good standing as an Associate.
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from approved organization
- Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
