h2Job Summary/h2pThe Security Specialist is a key member of the Operations Department at Beacon Communications. This role involves installing and maintaining low-voltage systems, including security, audio-visual, and voice/data technologies./ph2Key Responsibilities/h2olliAssist lead technicians and project managers with completing tasks efficiently and on schedule./liliPerform daily tasks assigned by the project lead or project manager./liliDemonstrate ability to complete tasks on schedule and to a high standard./liliDevelop and apply basic installation methodologies, including wire pull, device installation, and wire pathing./liliDemonstrate a thorough understanding of systems and achieve factory certification./liliUnderstand and adhere to Beacon Communications policies, procedures, and guidelines./liliProvide accurate timecard entry and maintain a professional work environment./liliParticipate in limited overnight travel as necessary./liliDevelop a thorough understanding of Beacon projects and work towards career advancement./liliArrive on time, dressed in a professional manner, and maintain a clean and organized workspace./liliPerform other duties as assigned, aligned with Beacon Communications system offerings./liliProvide excellent customer service, demonstrating courtesy and respect to customers./liliMaintain tools provided by the company and be responsible for their repair or replacement if damaged due to negligence./liliExemplify Beacon Core Values of Customer Service, Communication, Teamwork, and Integrity./li/olh2Requirements/h2pThis role requires:/pulliBasic knowledge and understanding of low-voltage installation considerations and techniques./liliFactory certification on a Beacon Communications offered system./liliBasic understanding of OSHA guidelines and NEC and TIA/EIA standards./liliExperience in low-voltage installation and ability to read blueprints and construction drawings./liliEffective communication skills and ability to work with multiple types of customers./liliStrong team player with a high level of professionalism./li/ulh2Education and Experience/h2pThis role requires:/pulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent./liliTwo years of experience in low-voltage installation, with experience with Lenel preferred./li/ulh2Physical Requirements/h2pThis role requires:/pulliAbility to communicate professionally and provide verbal feedback./liliAbility to sit, stand, walk, handle, grip, push, pull, and reach overhead with force./liliAbility to physically transport ladders up to 12 feet in height and lift ladders on and off vehicle roof racks./liliAbility to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, sometimes overhead./liliAbility to use power-actuated hand tools, such as hammers, drills, and saws./liliAbility to see a full spectrum of color for correct wire identification./liliMaintain a clear background check to satisfy customer job site badging requirements./liliWillingness to submit to all vaccinations and screening tests required for customer job site badging protocol./liliMaintain a clear drug and alcohol screening protocol./liliMaintain a valid Driver's License./liliAbility to navigate all types of construction sites./liliConsistent, dependable, and timely attendance per schedule./li/ulh2Travel Requirements/h2pThis role requires:/pulli20-50% travel as needed./li/ulh2Benefits/h2pBeacon Communications offers:/pulliPaid time off and holiday pay./liliMedical, dental, and vision insurance./liliHSA and FSA options./liliEAP and short-term and long-term disability insurance./liliVoluntary life and accident insurance./lili401k plan with employer matching./li/ul
