Job Summary

The Registered Nurse I is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to assigned patients, while also supervising other qualified staff members as needed. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. As a Registered Nurse I, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing safe and effective patient care, utilizing best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Performing and documenting systematic assessments, recognizing and responding to abnormal diagnostic data.
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with patients, families, and staff, treating others with courtesy and respect.
  • Utilizing theoretical knowledge base to operationalize care, practicing consistently with hospital, regulatory, and legal requirements.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to maximize patient care, identifying and communicating changes in patient conditions that may impact unit staffing levels or the provision of safe patient care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license in the state of Maine.
  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift, move, and load 30-50 pounds, and to work in a dynamic healthcare setting with potential exposure to diseases or infections.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off, we also offer opportunities for professional growth and development.

Location

This position is located in Lakewood, Maine, at the Lakewood Cont Care Center. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as occasional travel to other facilities may be required.

Estimated Salary Range

$70,500 per year.
