Maintenance Specialist

Millcroft Living is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep of residential apartments and public areas through responsive, accurate, and efficient maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas, including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings, and repairing and replacing light bulbs and fixtures.
- Assist in providing initial response for malfunction of residential HVAC equipment, performing resets and simple repairs as necessary.
- Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure.
- Complete all work orders in a timely manner, providing detailed information regarding the task(s) performed along with all prescribed/pertinent equipment information.
- Assist other Maintenance personnel, when necessary, in the completion of various projects or repairs, including campus snow removal.
- Assist in maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies for the campus to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessary tasks.
- Work a reasonable amount of scheduled and "on-call" overtime as necessary.
- Provide 2 hours of maintenance time for each new resident for all approved activities, only Director of Pant Operations can approve activities.
- Perform additional duties requested by the Supervisor and the Director of General Services in order to ensure the effective and efficient operation within the community.
- Attendance is essential to this job. Must also maintain dependability and punctuality as outlined in Attendance policy.
- Remove snow and ice from roads and walks.
- Exterior trash removal.
- Replace exterior and parking deck lights.
- Attend to irrigation systems.

Strong horticultural background preferred. Ability to implement and initiate necessary plans to ensure proper maintenance of grounds.
Basic computer knowledge and experience.
Experience in grounds maintenance.
Experience in HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing.
Experience in drywall, painting, and carpentry.
Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or GED required.
