Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer will provide service to customers regarding preventative maintenance, retrofit installation, troubleshooting, and repair with minimal support. This role requires excellent technical skills and the ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain inventory of parts and supplies to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  2. Install and repair scientific instrumentation manufactured by Luminex Corporation at customer locations within a multi-state geographic region.
  3. Manage an expense account, service tools, and spare parts inventories to optimize service operations.
  4. Interface daily with internal and external customers to ensure excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  5. Utilize the CRM system to capture full documentation of all calls and entering appropriate codes to ensure accurate history of reporting trends and corrective actions.
  6. Meet daily service repair needs and drive customer satisfaction through service excellence.
  7. Exercise judgement within defined procedures, standards, and company policies and procedures is mandatory.
  8. Comply with field service technical standards.
  9. Meet departmental expectations regarding response time, PM completion rates, service callbacks, and customer satisfaction survey results.
Requirements
  • Technical school or military technical training equivalent in Electronics Technology or Computer Science required.
  • Biotechnical training or associate degree or higher in an engineering discipline preferred.
  • 1+ Years Experience in one of the following: Field Service, In-house Biomed, Customer facing role required.
  • High mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving/communication skills required.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to work with a team and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Valid Passport or eligibility required for travel.

The salary range for this position is $75,000/year to $95,000/year, depending on experience and qualifications.
