Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Medication Aide to join our team As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assisting with the administration of medications to our residents.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to residents as ordered by physicians, under the direction of nurses and directors of nursing services.
  • Report any errors in medication administration promptly.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as completing forms and charts.
  • Accurately prepare, administer, and document oral and topical medications.
  • Verify the identity of medications brought into the facility.
  • Assist with medication charting and documentation.
  • Ensure that all medications are properly labeled and stored.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of resident assessments.
  • Familiarize yourself with common medical abbreviations and terminology.
Requirements:
  • Holds a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Licensed Certified Medication Aide, having completed a state-approved training program and necessary examination(s).
  • Minimum 6 months experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Essential Skills:
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-related care to residents.
  • Deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Work harmoniously with other personnel.
  • Be knowledgeable of computer systems and office equipment.
