Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cleaning and Sanitation Professional to join our team at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games in Katy.

About the Job

This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dish area, as well as providing exceptional guest service. As a member of our team, you will be expected to work closely with bussers and cooks to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen and restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize all dishware and glassware used in our restaurant and kitchen.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure the availability of clean plates, utensils, glasses, pots, and pans.
  • Follow established safety and sanitation procedures to prevent accidents and foodborne illnesses.
  • Maintain detailed cleaning standards, including sweeping, mopping, and restocking of supplies.
  • Take out trash, replace bags, and wash cans as needed.
  • Monitor guests to ensure they are following safety guidelines and adhering to rules.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues, providing excellent customer service.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere by actively participating in meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain a clean workspace in accordance with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games policies.
  • Be knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures.
  • Perform opening, running, and closing duties as assigned.
  • Acknowledge and adhere to uniform guidelines.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

Salary Information:

As a Cleaning and Sanitation Professional at Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from $17 to $20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Physical Demands:

  • You will be required to walk or stand for extended periods.
  • You must be able to lift up to 15 pounds regularly and perform functions requiring organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing, and stocking up to 50 pounds.
  • You must be able to communicate quickly and accurately.
  • The work environment may include bright, dim, or flashing lights and loud sounds.
  • You must be able to use and operate necessary equipment manually.
  • You must be able to understand, follow, and maintain safety standards at all times.
