Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Norfolk office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural analysis and design, with experience in waterfront structures, asset management, and other maritime projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design with timber, steel, concrete, and composite materials
  • Develop plans, specifications, and inspection reports as needed
  • Help resolve design problems through field investigation, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations
  • Calculate construction quantity estimates
  • Work closely with other architects, engineers, scientists, and project managers on multi-discipline projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis required and 1 to 2 years of structural experience
  • Acceptable alternate: Master's degree in Structural Engineering required with no industry experience
  • EIT preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using SAP2000 or STAAD, LPile, MicroStation, AutoCAD, or Revit
  • Interest in marine/waterfront structural design related to ports, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, breakwater and/or shore protection structures
