Job Overview

The Emerald Cities Collaborative Inc. is a leading organization dedicated to sustainable and equitable regional economies. As the Workforce Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in implementing and coordinating program initiatives in Southern California.

About the Role

This is an exempt full-time position reporting directly to the SoCal Regional Director. You will work closely with the Director of Human Resources to develop HR strategies and programs that enhance skills and organization success. Your focus will be on developing workforce development strategies while integrating Human Resources functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Finance, Operations, and Administrative (FOA) team to ensure seamless operations
  • Work closely with the Human Resources department to ensure adherence to ECC human resources practices and processes
  • Actively participate in knowledge sharing and collaboration with other regions and departments, fostering a culture of learning and growth
  • Schedule, staff, and maintain essential documents for SoCalREN meetings and working groups
SoCalREN Initiatives
  • Enhance current workforce development programs that align with metrics and goals
  • Collaborate with Program leads to identify skills gaps and develop training programs that enhance participant competencies and career growth
  • Oversee the creation and execution of training initiatives, workshops, and professional development
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and engagement through surveys and focus groups
  • Ensure all HR practices comply with legal regulations and best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on workforce development, training, and employee engagement
  • Detail-oriented with proven administrative/management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
What We Offer
