History Instructor

**About the Opportunity**

The Tennessee Board of Regents invites applications for a History instructor position at Dyersburg State Community College. This is an academic faculty role teaching day, evening, and online classes in various locations.

**Job Summary**

This full-time adjunct instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging curriculum to students while fostering a supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will become certified in the course management system (eLearn) and attend required meetings and training sessions.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Teach History courses in day, evening, and online formats
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and assessments
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Maintain accurate student records and submit grades by deadlines
• Communicate with department chairs and deans regarding curriculum and personnel matters

**Requirements**

• Master's degree in History or related field
• Prior teaching experience in higher education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

**Estimated Salary Range**

$40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
