Mailroom Clerk Job Summary

As a Mailroom Clerk at Mercy Ships, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mail and shipping processes. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to our mission of providing medical care and humanitarian aid to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver bank deposits and other business-related items to the bank as needed.
  • Manage mail and shipping operations, including sorting and delivering mail to the International Operations Center and National office.
  • Process POS and Send Suite daily, and order supplies as needed.
  • Balance cash boxes monthly for Mailroom and Fulfillment.
  • Fill orders for crew, International Operations Center, and National office requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Ability to operate a company vehicle and manage credit card responsibilities.
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and general computer skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of international shipping requirements and cost-management skills.
  • Ability to follow the model of Jesus by loving God, loving and serving others, being a person of integrity, and a person of excellence.
  • Support the organization's mission and vision, and adhere to the Mercy Ships Code of Conduct.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • A minimum of two years of work experience in an administrative or marketing field.
  • Successful completion of Mercy Ships Entry Training within the first year.
