Job Description: Education Specialist for Diverse Learners

Serve vulnerable scholars by supporting those with IEPs through push-in and pull-out services. As the content expert, you'll modify curriculum, supplement materials, and assess scholar progress daily.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Modify ELA, Math, or other disciplines for STAR scholars
  • Implement coherent, research-based curricula
  • Supplement materials to enhance scholar learning
  • Design, refine, and implement ongoing assessment and data analysis
  • Adjust short-and long-term plans based on assessment data
  • Develop and implement scholars' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with leadership to set data-driven goals and monitor progress

Caseworker Responsibilities:

  • Establish strong relationships with parents
  • Schedule meetings with families
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Complete special education paperwork

Family Engagement:

  • Establish trust-based relationships with scholars and families
  • Communicate scholar progress, triumphs, and challenges
  • Meet with parents when scholar grades decline significantly

Continuous Development:

  • Collaborate with general education teachers
  • Improve professional practice through observations and coaching sessions
  • Participate in weekly professional development sessions

Salary Information: Estimated salary range is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience.
