Nuclear Design Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Nuclear Design Engineer to join our construction design engineering team. As a member of this team, you will oversee project scoping, develop design contracts, and provide technical oversight of design. You will also conduct field inspections to confirm drawings and specifications are met, and commission projects ranging from multi-year, multi-million-dollar investments to smaller scope, short duration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement capital improvement projects, including construction, remodeling, and renovation of buildings and facilities.
- Design and plan mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, architecture, and other infrastructure systems.
- Conduct preliminary surveys and prepare schematics and work drawings for the construction of current, new, or remodeled structures and facilities.
- Comply with organizational and governmental safety standards.
- Participate in the planning and installation of new facility systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field.
- Experience with construction and/or design cost estimating.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry and building trade practice, techniques, codes, and standards.
- Knowledge of infrastructure design and construction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and computer aided design (CAD) drafting software.
