Job Summary

The MRI Technologist at Riverside Health System is responsible for performing MR exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians and ensuring safety in the MR environment before entering the magnetic field. This role requires a strong understanding of MRI technology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

Operates the magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
Prepares and maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice.
Screens patients for MRI safety prior to the procedure.
Assists the radiologist with procedure performance when required.
Obtains intravenous access and administers contrast media as directed per protocol.

Requirements

Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification is required.
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) certification is required.
