Location: Leesburg, GA Area
Soliant, a leading healthcare and education staffing provider, is seeking a passionate Teacher for the Visually Impaired to join our team in the Leesburg, GA area. This is a full-time position serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade, and we offer weekly pay, flexible benefits, and guaranteed hours with all of our full-time positions.
Job Details:
- Provide specialized instruction to visually impaired students in grades K-12.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the needs of students with visual impairments.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to enhance student learning.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure students' academic and social success.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' skills and progress.
- Advocate for students' access to appropriate educational resources and accommodations.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in education, with a specialization in visual impairments or blindness.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in Georgia (out of state licenses are accepted as long as candidate is willing to obtain GA license).
- Experience working with visually impaired students preferred.
- Experience with Braille preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
