We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Snellville, Georgia. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting health and wellness.

Job Description

In this role, you will provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients and families, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for office visits, completing Point of Entry (POE) assessments, and addressing care gaps during patient encounters.

You will also prepare rooms and equipment for procedures, initiate interventions, and document responses to treatment according to established workflows and guidelines. Additionally, you will participate in emergency care as directed by a practitioner or registered nurse, educate patients on diagnostic studies, and schedule appointments with labs, radiology, or specialty consultations as ordered by a practitioner.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will engage patients, families, and caregivers in the coordination of care, resolve patient concerns promptly, and provide departmental orientation and training to new team members on standard work, policies, and procedures.

Requirements
  • Practical Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire
  • Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing (LPN/LVN) program
