Job Overview

The Senior Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the club delivers an exceptional fitness experience to all members. Key responsibilities include showcasing the benefits of Crunch Fitness, overseeing club operations, and driving staff success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Development: Lead the management team at the club level, fostering a culture of excellence and consistency in punctuality, dress code compliance, friendliness, and cleanliness.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Hire, train, and develop a strong team of management professionals, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to excel in their roles.
  • Revenue Growth and Member Retention: Drive membership and personal training sales growth by identifying opportunities and implementing effective strategies to meet department targets.
  • Operational Expertise: Serve as a point of reference for operations expertise within the club, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless execution of tasks and projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Staffing and Development: Maintain a fully engaged and high-performing management team that aligns with company values and goals. To achieve this, conduct regular meetings with direct reports to review performance, provide direction, motivation, and guidance towards achieving individual and company sales goals.
  • Maximizing Productivity and Profitability: Oversee daily operations to ensure adherence to organizational structure and guidelines, maximizing productivity and profitability in the assigned region.
  • Quality Consistency and Customer Service: Ensure quality consistency across the region, increasing standards of customer service, and maintaining all company goals.
  • Reporting and Marketing: Report progress and issues to the COO and manage outside marketing, inventory, and P&L reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate across different levels of the organization. Strong leadership skills, self-motivation, and the ability to effectively manage others.
  • Experience: Prior management experience in retail/hospitality industry leading 3-10 employees, consultative sales experience, and a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Education Level: High School Diploma or GED required, Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
