Winery Tasting Room Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Winery Tasting Room Supervisor to join our team at McMenamins Edgefield Winery. This is a full-time position responsible for assisting the Winery Tasting Room Manager in the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, wine club, and wine club events.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Winery Tasting Room Manager in supervising Tasting Room staff and completing administrative duties as assigned.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries in the Tasting Room Manager's absence.
- Assist with building new and retaining existing club members through engagement, consistent follow-up, and outstanding customer service.
- Participate in all on-property Wine Club events and may be asked to work events at other locations.
- Work with the Tasting Room Staff to promote sales and assist the manager with staff training, labor monitoring, and employee evaluations.
- Give tours of the winery and perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Prior experience in a winery or tasting room environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of wine and familiarity with winery production and/or winery sales software is required.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, Publisher, and Outlook, is essential.
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are necessary.
- Able to supervise other employees in a positive and constructive manner and lead small wine tasting events.
- Flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.
- Inventory management skills and strong communication skills are also desired.
- Providing an exceptional experience for customers in the winery and managing daily operations effectively.
- Safely practicing heavy lifting and carrying with assistance, frequent heavy lifting up to 60lbs, and being able to stand for long periods, including stair climbing.
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing repetitive movements, including bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, and stooping.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with staff and customers and working around cleaning agents and heavy equipment.
