Your expertise will be essential in providing timely and effective care, while also promoting a safe and supportive environment for patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide treatments as ordered by physicians, while ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques, promoting empowerment and independence.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Virginia State Board of Nursing or a Compact State.
Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting, with a focus on emergency medicine or critical care.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS and PALS certification within one year of employment.
