Job Summary

The CMM Technician is responsible for developing, maintaining, and generating CMM programs, and using the CMM and other measuring equipment to dimensionally inspect and verify production and prototype parts, components, assemblies, and tooling. Documents and reports inspection results in a timely manner. Reads and interprets blueprints and Manufacturing Process Sheets to determine inspection requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Dimensionally inspect and verify production and prototype parts, components, assemblies, and tooling using CMM and other measuring equipment
• Develop, maintain, and generate CMM programs
• Document and report inspection results in a timely manner
• Read and interpret blueprints and Manufacturing Process Sheets to determine inspection requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED, certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience
• PolyWorks/CAPPs software knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of blue print reading
