Electrical Assembler Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join our team in Wendell, NC. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for performing sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring duties on products for Low Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform sub-assembly wiring and final assembly wiring work to the highest level of accuracy and workmanship
  • Work with large power cables, including correct method of crimping connectors
  • Perform proper stripping and crimping techniques
  • Assemble components on panels per given layout or drawings
Requirements:
  • 1+ years' experience performing mechanical assembly (build) of product
  • 1+ years' experience with commercial or industry wiring
  • Ability to read and work with schematic drawings/layouts/wire lists with minimal to no supervision
  • Experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated, and wiring tools such as hand crimpers, wire strippers, and accurately read a tape measure
  • Strong team player
  • Conform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive to continual improve the intended outcomes of the Management System
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess some knowledge on electrical clearances
  • Associates Degree or technical training in area of responsibility

Please note that training will be done on 1st shift for a couple of days prior to being moved to the 2nd shift. We are looking for a candidate that has mechanical assembly experience with material handling and can organize and help generate healthy product flow through the processes.
