Job Summary:

As an Audiologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will administer diagnostic audiological tests to differentiate between types of hearing disorders. You will coordinate and interpret test results, consulting with physicians and making recommendations on hearing disorders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct diagnostic evaluations of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory problems.
  • Perform physical and otoscopic examinations of the outer ear structures.
  • Administer ear cleaning evaluations, fit and dispense hearing aids, and conduct cochlear implant assessments and programming.
  • Counsel individuals with auditory disorders, their families, and other service providers on the etiology and management of the disorder.
  • Provide reports and coordinate audiological results with other diagnostic data.
  • Ensure compliance with Kaiser Permanente's compensation review process and job description changes.

Qualifications:
Experience

  • One year of experience in diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation, and rehabilitation services for auditory problems.
Education

  • Masters degree or Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (AuD) prior to employment start date.
License, Certification, Registration

  • Audiologist License (California) required at hire OR Temporary Audiologist License (California) required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
  • Dispensing Audiologist license required if dispensing hearing aids.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of post-licensure experience in the field of audiology.
