Anesthesia Specialist

Washington State University’s Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences is seeking a talented veterinary professional to join our team as an Anesthesia Specialist. Located in the College of Veterinary Medicine, this full-time continuous career track faculty position offers a unique opportunity for growth and collaboration in a dynamic academic environment.

The successful candidate will have a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree with 5 years of clinical experience as a veterinarian and at least 2 years' experience in primarily performing veterinary anesthesia. This role will emphasize clinical service and teaching, with up to 75% effort devoted to these activities.

The Anesthesia Specialist will provide clinical anesthesia service for the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital and clinical instruction of professional veterinary students and interns. Remaining effort will comprise classroom and laboratory teaching. The candidate will also have the opportunity to join our innovative simulation-based education program to teach principles of anesthesia to third-year DVM students using our cutting-edge simulation models in our newly renovated Clinical Simulation Center.
