We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at The Laurels of Kent. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our guests.
About the Role
This is a full-time opportunity that requires a high school graduate/GED with active CNA certification or acceptable exemption required. You will be working 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking and recording vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation levels.
- Measuring and recording height and weight, intake and output.
- Caring for the guests' environment, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are met.
- Assisting with bathing, grooming, and toileting, promoting independence and dignity.
- Supporting guests with eating and hydration needs, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
- Observing skin integrity and reporting changes to licensed nurses, providing skin care as needed.
- Meeting guests' mental health and social service needs, fostering a supportive environment.
