Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Clinic Nurse to join our team at Lexington Regional Health Center. As a Clinic Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate Patient Care: Work collaboratively with other departments, medical professionals, and organizations to coordinate care for patients.
  2. Triage and Treat Patients: Use sound clinical judgment to triage and treat patients, seeking help when unsure of a procedure or action needed.
  3. Assist with Patient Exams: Assist providers with minor surgical procedures and exams, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  4. Administer Medications: Safely and efficiently administer medications via various routes, including IM, SQ, Rectal, Transdermal, and PO.
  5. Communicate Effectively: Provide courteous and efficient communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
  6. Maintain Patient Records: Accurately and efficiently maintain patient records, including updating clinical assessments and medication lists.
  7. Participate in Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, participating in problem-solving and goal attainment.
  8. Attend Mandatory Training: Attend all mandatory safety, competency, and informational programs, ensuring up-to-date knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  1. Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse: Hold a current active LPN or RN license from the State of Nebraska or an approved compact state.
  2. Basic Life Support Certification: Maintain current Basic Life Support certification via the American Heart Association.
  3. Organizational and Communication Skills: Possess strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Interpersonal and Emotional Intelligence: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and emotional intelligence, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Working Conditions

The Clinic Nurse will work in a normal office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise, dust, or temperature. The role requires occasional lifting up to 35 pounds, transporting patients via wheelchair, and assisting with patient care activities.
