Mental Health Professional Role Overview

Mentor Behavioral Health, a part of the Sevita family, provides Early Intervention, Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and Behavioral Health services to children, individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ a range of techniques to provide home therapy based on experiential relationship building, dialogue, communication, and case management that is designed to improve the mental health of an individual.
  • Work with a partner Mental Health Worker (MHW) to provide the co-therapy dynamic based on the model of therapy.
  • Perform work within the community in a variety of locations including residential homes, duplexes, apartments, and condos as well as other community-based locations such as schools and libraries.
  • Prepare and train the individual's biological or legal parents to provide care for their child to prevent the possibility of out of home placement.
  • Access community resources beneficial to client aftercare needs.
  • Attend required training and meetings.
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedule.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in a human services field.
  • ~2 years of experience working with children.
