Job Title: CNC Machinist

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year

Main Responsibilities: As a CNC Machinist at GS Precision Inc, you will be responsible for operating machines assigned after setup by area supervisors, leads, or set-up personnel. You will make adjustments as needed to produce parts in accordance with tolerances and specifications on production sketches.

Key Duties:

• Operate machines to produce parts within specified tolerances and specifications
• Make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and accuracy
• Inspect parts to ensure compliance with requirements using micrometers, verniers, gages, fixtures, and other measuring equipment
• Recognize and report need for adjustments and tool sharpening
• Report any problems, difficulties, or unusual circumstances immediately to supervision
• Maintain accurate production records and data
• Maintain area, equipment, and tools in neat and orderly condition
• Observe all company policies, rules, and regulations

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• 3 months to 1 year of experience in machining or related field
• Machining experience preferred but not required
• Capacity to understand measurement and inspection devices
• Able to interpret blueprints
• Understand part placement to achieve optimum efficiency
