We are seeking a part-time Medical Professional to conduct medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
This role involves reviewing medical records, performing in-person physical exams, and documenting findings without making disability determinations.
The ideal candidate will possess an unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and have a passion for serving the Veteran community.
Key attributes include being interested in performing Independent Medical Assessments, analyzing data from medical records and exam findings, and possessing strong time management skills.
As a Disability Assessment Specialist, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal, perform focused in-person physical exams on each Veteran, and document exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
You will NOT make disability determinations, as this is made by the United States Veterans Administration.
This role performs Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, on average.
Schedule: Part-Time 3 Days Per Week (8am-4pm)
This is an IN-PERSON position with key responsibilities including:
- Reviewing medical records
- Performing in-person physical exams
- Documenting findings
Requirements include having a current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license and proficiency in using a computer.

A typical day includes working with 3 to 5 patients, with all work performed in a clinical setting.
Based on industry standards, the estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 depending on location and experience.
