Job Summary:

As a Biomedical Equipment Technician Intern at Allina Health, you will support the maintenance and repair of biomedical equipment by applying your knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and chemical engineering principles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Your responsibilities will include conducting equipment tests, ensuring adherence to codes and regulations, completing preventive maintenance requirements, and training users on the proper use of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Repair, install, and calibrate equipment to meet the needs of our patients and staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to users of biomedical equipment.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to troubleshoot complex issues and develop solutions.

Requirements:

  • High School degree or equivalent required; enrollment in a Biomedical/Electronic Engineering Equipment program preferred.

Physical Demands:

Medium Work*: Lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently.
