Job Description

The Office of Court Administration is seeking a highly skilled Court Coordinator to join our team in Waco, TX. As a key member of our Child Protection Court team, you will be responsible for overseeing court administrative operations, ensuring the efficient management of child protection cases, and providing technical assistance to the Presiding Judge of the 3rd Administrative Judicial Region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and track child protection cases, ensuring timely completion and compliance with state law.
  • Utilize the Office of Court Administration's Child Protection Case Management System to enter case information, generate reports, and analyze data.
  • Prepare reports and analysis to monitor and evaluate court effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies for achieving court goals.
  • Develop and maintain court guidelines, procedures, and standards for achieving court goals, ensuring compliance with state law and court policies.
  • Supervise the work of others, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
Requirements:
  • Two years of college or equivalent experience in an administrative or office environment.
  • Two years of experience in a related field, with a focus on child protection cases, court administration, or legal terminology.
  • Proficient in the use of computer equipment, word processing, and spreadsheet software, as well as automated systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Experience in legal and technical terminology, business English, and hearing procedures.
Employment Conditions:
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to operate office equipment and computer systems.
  • Adherence to the Code of Judicial Conduct.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Valid Texas driver's license required.
