**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist - CT Scan to join our team at Corewell Health. As a CT Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.
About the Job
This is a full-time position working evenings, with a 40-hour weekly schedule. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing accurate diagnostic CT exams, following regulations and ALARA principles of radiation protection. You will work collaboratively with our medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient identification and physician orders
- Provide procedural information/education to patients/families prior to each exam
- Acquire an accurate patient history and document in the medical record
- Perform CT and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods
- Place IVs as required for injection of contrast media
- Operate CT imaging equipment and perform quality control/quality assurance testing
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety
- Ensure STAT requests are relayed to radiologists in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized exam room, ensuring proper stocking with linen and supplies
- Efficiently use hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules, and sending information to PACs
Qualifications
- Associate's degree from a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program
- 1-3 years' experience beyond staff radiographer level
- CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (optional)
- CRT-Computerized Tomography (CT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (required within 1 year of hire)
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or ARC American Red Cross (required within 1 year of hire)
Physical Demands
The successful candidate will be able to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally and push/pull forces of up to 35 pounds occasionally. They will also be able to stand, walk, and sit frequently, with occasional forward bending, trunk rotation, and squatting.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off. Estimated annual salary: $74,000.
