The Williams County, ND is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Licensing Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing applications for motor vehicle registration, titling, taxes, leases, and passport issuance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public via telephone, email, and walk-in traffic
  • Assist customers in completing required forms and application materials
  • Conduct research to obtain missing information and validate questionable data
  • Process a variety of documents, including dealer paperwork, individual registration applications, and passport applications
  • Inspect applications and perform accepted procedures for verification to ensure all requirements are met before processing
  • Monitor all submitted paperwork for fraud and forgery
  • Collect and process application payments
  • Follow established cash drawer procedure to balance cash drawer and submit paperwork and fees to Treasurer's Office
  • Complete required communications, reports, and record-keeping tasks related to processed applications
  • Perform precise data entry and documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality of non-public records and make available all data and information deemed a public record by the North Dakota Century Code
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years experience working in an office environment
  • Must possess a valid North Dakota Driver's License, or equivalent
  • Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $21.50 to $23.25 per hour, based on qualifications and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes paid sick and vacation time, 12 paid holidays per year, fully paid health, dental, and vision insurance for single, single-plus-dependent, or family contracts, term life insurance, long-term disability insurance, and fully funded retirement benefits through the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System.

We also offer a generous benefit package that includes a monthly allowance toward the purchase of a voluntary supplemental insurance policy, premium-paid term life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and participation in the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (ND PERS) Retirement Plan.

Please note that the estimated salary for this position is around $45,600 - $52,300 per year, depending on the level of experience and qualifications.
