Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cannabis Licensing Specialist Senior to join our team at the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board. As a key member of our Licensing and Regulation Division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring public safety by assessing, analyzing, and enforcing laws, regulations, and policies related to cannabis licensing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze legal and financial documents to determine eligibility for cannabis licenses
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with applicants to assess their qualifications
  • Monitor and coordinate activities and processes of a licensing program
  • Approve or disapprove selected license transactions for issuance of new, renewal, and change licenses
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience analyzing and/or interpreting financial documents, or laws and regulations for license qualification issuance, or interviewing and/or research/review duties involving public contact
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $46,920.00 - $62,892.00 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, paid leave, and more.
