Job Title: Senior Automation Testing and Support Engineer

VirtuSense is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Testing and Support Engineer to lead the testing and support efforts for our AI-driven fall prevention systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including functional, performance, stress, and regression testing for hardware and software components.
  • Oversee and perform manual and automated testing, ensuring thorough coverage of all system aspects, from sensor integration to AI-driven decision-making algorithms.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide expert-level technical support to customers and internal teams, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and guide junior testing and support engineers, providing training, feedback, and support to help them grow in their roles.
  • Develop and maintain testing environments, including hardware setups, software configurations, and network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, software engineering, and customer support, to ensure that products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies, driving innovations that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead the creation of comprehensive documentation, including test plans, user manuals, and support resources.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in testing tools, technologies, and industry best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve testing and support operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software and hardware testing, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.
  • Extensive experience in both manual and automated testing, with a deep understanding of test design, execution, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in mentoring and leading teams, with a track record of driving successful testing and support initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in healthcare, medical devices, or safety-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or sensor technologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity practices for embedded and networked systems.
