Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Organ Transplant Nurse Coordinator to join our team at The University of Kansas Health System. As an integral part of our transplant program, you will play a vital role in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the care of living donors and recipients, including evaluation, listing, and post-transplant management.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Develop and implement teaching plans to address the educational needs of transplant candidates and their families.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient progress and care.
  • Ensure compliance with OPTN/UNOS regulations and policies.
Requirements
  • Must have current active multistate RN license in good standing.
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursing required, with 2 or more years of acute clinical experience.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required.

The University of Kansas Health System offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
