Product Security Engineer: Cybersecurity Threat Analyst

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Security Operations Engineer to join our team at Apple.

The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging security and privacy issues at scale, communicating with external security researchers, and coordinating vulnerability disclosures. They will also assist in tracking upcoming software releases and ensure the correct content is included in the product's security advisory.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Communicate with external security and privacy researchers about details of their security reports, impact, and resolution plans.
  • Assist in triaging externally reported software vulnerabilities.
  • Coordinate vulnerability disclosures across companies and individuals.
  • Track upcoming software releases to ensure the correct content is included in the product's security advisory.

**Requirements**

  • Understanding of common OS security vulnerabilities.
  • Successful track record coordinating vulnerability disclosures.
  • Ability to track and manage numerous parallel activities.
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Experience in front-line analysis and response.
  • Experience in applications security, network security, systems security, or reverse engineering.
  • Technical writing background with a focus on security content.
  • Knowledge of Apple specific security technologies and attack techniques.
  • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages (Python, Bash, Swift, etc).
