About the Job

As a Registered Nurse, Med/Surg, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Med/Surg unit. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our team and provide exceptional care to our patients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, including administering medications, collecting specimens, and performing clinical treatments. You will also be responsible for documenting patient care, monitoring and recording patient condition, and communicating with the care team, physician, patient, and family.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and perform clinical treatments as prescribed by the physician
  • Collect and process specimens for laboratory testing
  • Document patient care and monitor patient condition
  • Communicate with the care team, physician, patient, and family
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
  • Evaluate patient learning needs and provide patient education
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
Requirements
  • KY RN license or compact State License
  • Associate degree at a minimum
  • New Graduates may work under a KY provisional license for up to 6 months with the expectation that an RN license will be obtained within the first 6 months of employment
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) may be obtained within 45 days of hire
