Job Summary:

As a Sales Clerk Leader with the Coast Guard Community Services Command, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and leading the sales department in achieving its goals. This role requires a strong understanding of sales and inventory control principles, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome and assist customers in selecting merchandise, providing a positive shopping experience

Maintain product knowledge and stay up-to-date on sales and promotions

Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate records

Assist with inventory control, including receiving, pricing, and monitoring stock levels

Collaborate with store management to achieve sales goals and implement effective sales strategies

Provide training and guidance to sales team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment

Requirements:

Prior retail experience in sales and inventory control

Excellent communication and leadership skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to lift 10 pounds and stand for long periods of time
