Job Overview

Volt Workforce Solution is immediately hiring a Quality Control Specialist in Valencia, CA.

Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $39,040 based on the hourly rate of $19 and 40-hour workweek. Additionally, Volt offers various benefits including health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law).

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Control Specialist, you will:

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure effective communication regarding quality feedback and training for the production workforce.
  • Conduct product inspections by adhering to written product specifications and recommended techniques, including first shot acceptance and hourly checks on each machine.
  • Ensure that the first and last shots are retained and stored properly after a mold is pulled from a machine, marking the end of a production run.
  • Verify that production and assembly lines comply with established standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain measurement and support equipment to operate accurately by following calibration protocols and initiating repairs as needed.
  • Engage in technical discussions with other functional departments to facilitate collaboration.
  • Provide training to the production team on quality control measures to enhance product standards.
  • Stay updated on job knowledge through educational opportunities and regular training sessions.
  • Promote safety, quality, and environmental awareness within the workplace.
  • Ensure adherence to safe working practices and timely reporting of all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage.
  • Perform special tasks such as sorting products, reworking quarantined lots, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
