We are seeking experienced and compassionate home health aides to join our team at Right at Home of Essex County, NJ. As a Certified Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to seniors and adults in the comfort of their own homes.

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes flexible scheduling, weekly pay, paid time off, bonuses for referrals, transportation reimbursement, caregiver recognition and rewards program, membership in ONYX Health Plan for uninsured employees, end-of-year bonuses, 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and ongoing training and education.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs a Certified Home Health Aide, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care activities that assist patients with activities of daily living, such as personal hygiene, ambulation/transfers, eating, dressing/shaving, and preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
- Accompanying patients on errands or medical appointments
- Performing housekeeping activities, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, and doing laundry and cleaning bathroom
You will also perform patient-specific activities taught by a Right at Home nurse, such as medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, measuring and preparing special diets, understanding dementia care, and incontinence care.
Job Qualifications & Personality TraitsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- Completion of a Certified Home Health Aide Course
- One year of experience as a Caregiver/Home Health Aide/CNA in healthcare (in homes or facilities)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
- Possess a valid driver's license and insured automobile (preferred, not required)
