Job Title: Structural Assembly Specialist

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a leading manufacturer of business jet aircraft, is seeking a skilled Structural Assembly Specialist to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to perform structural assembly operations using required tools and appropriate prints, specs, and operational requirements. As a Structural Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring conformance to specification, assisting and instructing other team members, and maintaining a neat and orderly work area.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures, and varied drilling and riveting operations
  • Use complicated schematics/blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical instructions to safely perform layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment, or fabricated items on aircraft
  • Mentor, train, and assist other team members in interpretation of blueprints, drawings, and engineering orders
  • Check all work and ensure a defect-free assembly prior to final inspection
  • Plan and organize workloads and resource requirements to meet or exceed goal hours and schedule expectations

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 6 years related structural assembly experience
  • Experience working with Solumnia and Smarteam preferred
  • Q-stamp preferred
  • Good working knowledge of computers and related software
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Skill in close tolerance work and knowledge of use of special tools and equipment
  • Ability to use mathematical formulas to solve dimensional problems
  • Knowledge in the use of multiple measuring devices
