Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper setup and handling of surgical equipment.
- Provide direct patient care, including preparing patients for surgery, positioning them for procedures, and monitoring their vital signs during the operation.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and respond to emergency situations, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
- Participate in the on-call system for emergency and urgent cases, responding promptly to situations that require immediate attention.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, communicating effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) preferred.
- One year of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
