Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care and services to individuals in a facility-based crisis/non-hospital detox setting.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize current nursing assessment skills and knowledge of nursing principles to assess and monitor clients participating in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment.
  • Comply with Controlled Substances policy and procedures in maintaining accurate inventories and controlled logs.
  • Monitor consumers and take appropriate action for side effects and adverse reactions to medications.
  • Complete QA activities as requested and participate in the QA process.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing.
  • Meet the education, experience, licensure/certification requirements specified by the service definition of the service being provided.
  • Prior experience in behavioral health nursing is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance coverage.
