Job Title: Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

At RWJBarnabas Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our Speech Pathology department, you will provide direct patient care services to individuals exhibiting communication and swallowing disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver effective therapeutic services to pediatric patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Communicate Speech-Language evaluations to accurately identify strengths and needs in the area being evaluated.
  • Meet productivity demands by seeking out opportunities within the department when cancellations, no shows, and low census occur.
  • Effectively share information regarding therapy/evaluation techniques and/or hospital procedures with students, volunteers, CFYs, and peers.
  • Participate in projects for the department that are consistent with department and hospital goals and missions.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • NJ State Speech-Language Pathology License or eligible.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligible.
  • Speech Correctionist or Speech-Language Specialist Certificate.
  • Member of ASHA.
  • AHA BLS Provider Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Student clinical experience in pediatrics; rehabilitation experience.
  • Knowledge of normal development.
